Before you book

Four things to ask or check

  1. Ask early

Christmas to Australia Day is the busiest stretch of the year for holiday parks. If your dates are fixed, contact the park as soon as you can.

  2. Ask about minimum stays and deposits

Many parks set their own rules for the peak weeks. They vary park to park, so confirm them, and the cancellation terms, before you pay.

  3. Confirm the details with the park

Listings marked “Public map data” have not been confirmed by the owner. Check prices, powered sites and pet rules with the park directly.

  4. Check fire and weather warnings

Summer brings fire bans and severe weather. Before you travel, check Queensland Fire Department.
